Just a few flowers I’d put in the “goth section” of my dream garden, alongside gargoyles. I’d probably throw in some Persian shield for foliage, maybe some other dark coleus.
After the night was said and done and the last guest left the surprise ‘Girls Night In’ birthday party Kenley hosted for the birthday girl, Kenley led Cait to her quarters by hand, stopping at the door to playfully put the palm of her other hand over the brunettes eyes, “don’t peek!”
The blonde led Cait into her bedroom carefully letting go of her hand to stand next to the ornately huge bundle of roses, “open your eyes!” she said with a grin, kneeling down to smell the bouquet, “happy birthday beautiful,” she stated before reaching down to pick up a small gift box, “and this is for you as well,” she said, outstretching the gift towards the birthday girl.
Caitlyn seemed quite content with the night as she had been smiling for some time now. Her hands went up toward the woman’s hands only to stop midway, “Alright alright, I won’t look.”
She felt the woman part away from her once she was guided inside making sure to keep her eyes closed until instructed otherwise. What she saw when she opened them brought an even greater smile to her lips as she clasped her hands together, “Oh gods Kenley, you really didn’t have to go through the trouble..” she looked at her with a small blush forming. She’d step forward to kneel beside the bouquet and the woman as she accepted the gift, “Thank you sweety. I loved everything you’ve done for me, and not just tonight but everything…You've really been there for me, thank you.” she leaned in to give the woman a hug and kiss on the cheek.
Kenley peeled her nose away from the fragrant bouquet to offer the noblewoman a smile as she leaned in reciprocatively to wrap her lithe arms around the brunette, “you are more then welcome. I’ll always be here for you… though we do have some talking to do after tonight…” she had to add before looking down at the gift box, “open it,” she insisted.
The box was quite plain, wrapped in brown paper and tied up in a red bow. Its contents however consisted of three gold, couture bangles in different styles and sizes on a bed of cotton batting.
“Mmm of course, id love to talk.” She seemed to look at the woman for a bit as if taking in her features for the first time. Her eyes and the same she was giving kenley said what she had been avoiding all this time.
She looked down at the box which she had a hard time openning at first but she managed to get it open, “gods its beautiful.” She reached with the box to take them all out and placed them on her palm to look at each one. “You spoil me so much Kenley.” She flipped one over before ultimately deciding to just wear all of them for the night. “Thank you.” She looked back up at her wanting to go in for yet another tight hug.
